David Raynor (Managing Director) & John Luker (Company Secretary)
In 1992 Dave and John founded Reason Global Insurance with a particular emphasis on the haulage and transportation industries. Over the years the focus of the business has shifted from haulage to removals, a sector in which the company has become extremely successful.

David and John continue to have exciting and innovative plans for further expansion and growth of their company.

 Mike Reason
Mike Reason has a long background of broking in the Lloyd's market and has run his own company specialising in Removals and Storage risks for about forty years. He has been a shareholder of Reason Global Insurance, the company which still bears his name, for 10 years.

Mike is responsible for the development of removers' insurance schemes and for broking risks to underwriters on behalf of the Reason Global team. He has a large portfolio of connections throughout all aspects of the insurance and removals industries which he has built up over a period of many years and these connections are often used to the benefit of our clients.

Mike's two sons have followed in their father's footsteps, both of whom work in the Lloyd's marketplace.


Lorraine Dicksee
Prior to joining Reason Global, Lorraine worked for Willis for 21 years, during which time she specialised in arranging and managing the insurances of Self Storage and Removal companies. She has also worked with hauliers, forwarders, warehouse keepers, cold store operators and other similar trades. Lorraine is currently the General Manager of Reason Global.

Lorraine writes regular insurance articles for the trade press and provides training lectures to the industry both in the UK and all around Europe. In the lead up to the implementation of the FSA Regulations in January 2005, she worked with the BAR and the SSA to devise suitable insurance solutions for the members. It is common practice for the SSA to consult Lorraine whenever technical insurance issues arise and she is often an integral part of their working groups. She is currently involved in the deregulation process in an advisory capacity to the trade associations and the Treasury.


Nicholas Marshall
Nicholas started his career in insurance with General Accident and then Bain Clarkson Insurance Brokers, prior to moving to Willis where he spent almost twenty years working within the specialist transportation division. During this period undertook various roles including broking, client service delivery, claims and management.

During 2005 Willis withdrew from this sector and as a consequence Nicholas and several other members of the Willis team transferred, along with the majority of the client account, to Reason Global Insurance.

Nicholas is ACII qualified. He is responsible for the delivery of insurance training services on behalf of the BAR to members' staff who are seeking to achieve recognised industry qualifications.

Nicholas is currently BAR Sussex Area Secretary.


Ryan Squirrell
Ryan joined Reason Global in March 2008 with a total of 26 years of insurance experience.

His career includes time with Legal and General, Commercial Union and also a General Insurance Broker developing good all round technical and management skills. During the last 7 years Ryan has been managing insurance programmes for removals and storage and self storage sector clients for an industry specific broker.

Ryan is professionally qualified having achieved the Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute status in 1992.


Paul Norris
Further to obtaining a BA Honours Degree in Business Studies at University, Paul joined Willis, where during five years working in both the Kingston and City Offices. During this time Paul rose to the position of Senior Claims Broker handling all classes of claims arising from the transportation and storage sector under personal settlement authorities afforded him by insurers as well as the broking of complex claims to the market. 

Following our acquisition of the Willis Transportation Risks book of business in 2005, Paul joined Reason Global Insurance where his skills were utilised in broking of risks as well as claims to the market.

Paul is a qualified Lloyds Broker with 9 years experience of working with the International and Domestic Transportation and Storage Sector, and is our Broking Manager, as well as being responsible for managing the Reason Global Third Party claims handling arrangement.

Daniel Reynolds
Daniel has eight years experience specialising in Removals and Storage / Self Storage insurances, initially working as a claims broker on the Crown Relocations account at Willis Transportation Risks but later becoming a placing broker working on a range of accounts.

He has qualified as a Lloyd's Broker and consequently maintains a strong presence in the London marketplace, developing and maintaining relationships with those insurers who support the Removals and Storage / Self Storage industry.

Since joining Reason Global, Daniel has played a strong part in retaining the book of business transferred as part of the Willis acquisition. He now has responsibility for managing a portfolio of Removals and Self Storage clients, works closely with the BAR, offering support to all members face to face at trade conferences and BAR local area meetings as well as actively pursuing new business.


Graham Puddephatt
Further to obtaining a BA Honours Degree in Business Studies from Sussex University, Graham joined the Department of Trade and Industry, working within the Northern Ireland Office for ten years. He was responsible for Business and Grant maintenance within the province.

Graham has also worked within business media, as a business editor for a regional newspaper and producer of business television interviews.

Graham has worked for RGI for ten years and has an extensive knowledge of the removals market, providing a strong business background to support RGI’s insurance expertise.

Graham is currently BAR Yorkshire Area Secretary
