Nicholas Marshall, of Reason Global, lead a BAR Removals Masterclass on Insurance for the Moving Industry at a week-long series of workshops in November. As part of that masterclass Nicholas created a useful insight document into insurance for Removal Managers.

The BAR Removals Masterclass 5-day residential course for new and aspiring Removals Industry Managers covered a range of topics including Health and Safety, Legal & HR aspects of Employment, Claims Handling & Settlement, Lead Generation and Operational Planning in the Moving Industry.

What Happens When Disaster Strikes?

The two-hour Masterclass examined what insurance is? How customer’s possessions are covered financially in the event of damage or loss. What happens when disaster strikes (for example a warehouse fire), and the importance of vehicle insurance and other types of insurance necessary to the Removals Industry. Insurance Insight For Removal Managers

To help give Removal Managers some greater insight into insurance Nicholas has shared his extensive experience of the moving and storage insurance sector. With roles at General Accident and Bain Clarkson Insurance Brokers before almost 20 years working within the specialist transportation and storage division at Willis, Nicholas has undertaken various roles including broking, client service delivery, claims and management.

An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and ASCII-qualified trainer, Nicholas joined Reason Global in 2005 and is responsible for high-level service delivery to a significant portfolio of the company’s self-storage and moving client base.
