The Reason Global team enjoyed another fantastic BAR Annual Conference on 25th May in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The annual 3 day conference was packed with a busy programme of industry talks from influential speakers, examples of best practice within the removals and storage industry and a series of exciting social events which this year included a look behind the scenes at the RSC, a gin tasting cruise on the river and an impressive vehicle procession of ‘Removals Trucks Through the Ages’.
The Gala Dinner, which closed the event, featured the highly anticipated BAR awards – celebrating the success of the businesses that have shown outstanding excellence in the Commercial, Domestic and Overseas Mover of the year competitions. This year Reason Global were proud to be the sponsor BAR Overseas Mover of the Year award and we were delighted for the winners – Bournes Moves.
When it comes to winning an Overseas Mover of the Year award, the BAR standards are very high. Entries are reviewed by three independent judges according to customer experience, knowledge, professionalism and commitment to customer service, quality and high standards.
As finalists for the fourth consecutive year, and three-time BAR award winners Bournes have secured their position as one of the best International Removals Companies in the UK. We asked Managing Director of Bournes Wesley Bourne about how it feels to be a treble winner for BAR’s Overseas Mover of the Year and what winning means for the business?
“Winning Overseas Mover of the Year (OMotY) is a wonderful achievement and one that everyone within the company is very proud of. When you set out you never expect to win it that many times but we keep working hard to meet BAR’s very high standards.
I am extremely lucky to have colleagues that care as much for our customers, our business and our reputation as the Bourne family does; and this is evident in everything they do each and every day.
This is truly an accolade to all our employees and their dedication to quality and service. As one of the owners, and as Managing Director of Bournes, I am in awe of everyone. I thank them all for their continual ambition to strive to be better and not become complacent.
For me that is what makes our third win a little more special than the last, it shows that my colleagues, didn’t just do the same, they improved on something that was already a winning formula.”
Congratulations again to the Bournes team, and thank you once again to BAR for another tremendous conference.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Jersey next year!
