We’re looking forward to attending The Britannia Mover’s Conference in Copenhagen (12th-14th April) for a special reason – this year sees the introduction of the first ever Britannia Fun Triathlon.
Due to take place on the morning of Sunday 14th April, the Triathlon is being held in memory of Reason Global’s Dave Raynor and Malc Halley from Britannia – two great friends and colleagues who we sadly lost last year.
All attendees are invited to take part and whatever your fitness level, ability or age there will be a difficulty level to suit you including:
Stage 1 – Cycling
The Scandic Copenhagen hotel is situated in a beautiful location right next to a series of lakes, so you only have to stumble out of the doors to have a perfect triathlon location right on your doorstep. For the cycling leg, you’ll need to complete between 3 and 10 laps of the second lake.
Stage 2 – On Foot
Drop the bikes back at the hotel and head straight back to the lake for the next series of laps – between 1 and 5 depending on your ability. You can run, jog or walk – just get around under your own steam. Malc and Dave would be proud of you!
Stage 3 – The Wet Leg
It’s likely to be a bit chilly for swimming in April, so the wet leg of this triathlon will be Britannia-style – in the hotel bar! Whether you’re looking for a hot chocolate, a double espresso or a pint after your triathlon, we’ll see you back in the bar to compare times and remember our absent friends.
The even promises to be a great opportunity to celebrate and remember our friends Malc and Dave while raising some money for charity at the same time.
All money raised will be split equally between Malc and Dave’s preferred charities. Dave’s charity is National Kidney Federation.
