Reason Global attended the annual FIDI Conference in Cape Town as sponsors and were delighted to be involved in a very well organised and successful event.
The conference provided its usual mix of business and social events and Reason Global were delighted to catch up with clients and friends alike over the few days. David Raynor, John Luker, Ryan Squirrell and Malcolm Pearson all made the trip to Cape Town to support the conference.
David Raynor, Managing Director, commented on the value the conference brings for them. “It is always a good opportunity for us to attend and meet with our existing clients from around the world, discuss how business is and ensure our services are performing as we would expect. We are proud to support an organisation like FIDI in any way we can. We also met with many movers who are aware of our services and were particularly interested in seeing our web platform for marine insurance”.
Malcolm Pearson, Business Development Executive, was also pleased with the focus of their sponsorship in Cape Town. “In addition to this, as sponsors we were delighted to get involved in the Charity Run in aid of Bertrams School in Johannesburg. Ryan Squirrell ran and I could best be described as staggering around the short 4K course. However, FIDI made the event a lot of fun through their organisation and it was great to see so many movers come out early in the morning to support. It was particularly moving to hear the principal of Bertrams School talk at the Gala Dinner and explain the difference the funds that FIDI has raised has made to their school”
Reason Global have also been looking at where they can add value for FIDI with reference to insurance training and best practice guides, one of FIDI’s latest initiatives for the membership and hope to be able to provide materials that support affiliates where required.
