Storm Barbara

Storm Barbara is Coming, Be Prepared

Storm Barbara is set to make landfall on Friday and Christmas Eve and the Met Office has issued an amber “be prepared” warning for high winds, with gusts of up to 90mph forecast in the north and west of the UK.

The strong winds could cause structural damage, as well as disruption to power supplies and disrupt travel. Businesses also need to be aware of the risks in order to keep employees safe and minimise damage to buildings and content.

Make sure you stay up to date with the latest weather advisories from The Met Office at www.metoffice.gov.uk and follow #StormBarbara updates on social media channels.

If the Met Office issues a warning for severe gales and high winds in your location, make sure you are prepared.
