FIDI Cycle Challenge

FIDI Cycle Challenge raises over €7,000

In March we were very proud to be involved in the first ever FIDI Cycle Challenge from London to Amsterdam, in aid of Operation Smile Honduras – as sponsors and participants.

Reason Global’s Managing Director Malcolm Pearson bravely joined 15 riders from all over the globe for a two-day cycle tour to support FIDI in its final push to reach its Operation Smile Honduras (OSH) fundraising target of €150,000.

The challenging 141 mile ride, from central London through the scenic lowlands of England and The Netherlands, certainly lived up to its name but also proved a truly energising and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

We are very happy to reveal that the event managed to raise over €7,000 for OSH – making the ride a huge success which contributed essential funds to help as many children in deprived areas as possible.

Laura Rossignoli, Events Officer of FIDI was delighted with the news: “This was FIDI’s first ever Cycle Challenge, which brought a lot of excitement and anxiety. Raising donations is always a challenge and we had set ourselves a target of 10 cyclist. We smashed this with 15 brave cyclists, which was amazing. We were able to raise over 7,000€ for our Operation Smile Honduras charity, helping FIDI reach its’ overall charity donation target. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to be part of this organising group and making our first cycle such a success.”

Malcolm Pearson added: “To see the amount of money raised for OSH and to know it helped push through the target of the incredible three year efforts by all FIDI affiliates’ fundraising is wonderful news.   The effort shown by FIDI in organising and by the riders from all over the world was magnificent to witness and my own memories of it will always be very special.  As a company we have all been hugely proud to be involved.  On to Osaka 2020 and the next challenge!”
