Reason Global raise 5k for MacMillan Cancer Support

Over the past 12 months Reason Global have been busy raising funds for MacMillan Cancer Support and we’re delighted to announce that we have raised over £5000!

Our staff have really done us proud, working hard to organise numerous fundraising activities and events, from running marathons to holding coffee mornings. A particular highlight was the Movers and Storers Show 2015 in September 2015in partnership with MacMillan and Animo Events.

Our most notable contribution this year is towards The Macmillan Horizon Centre in Brighton, East Sussex. The long awaited service and has been formed, funded, built and run by Macmillan staff and volunteers and is now almost at completion with an open date of early July. The service has never been more needed with cancer rates higher in Sussex than ever before. The centre will provide free, non biased support to anyone affected by cancer and will be a place of safe haven for those on the cancer journey either through treatment themselves or those supporting a loved one. Supplying non clinical services such as psychological therapies, support groups, hair and wig advice, welfare benefits advice, physical activity and cancer information and sign posting we hope this will ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.

‘We’re very proud to support Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s great to see our fundraising activities and efforts go towards much needed resources in Sussex and raise awareness across the UK. We’re looking forward to continuing our support in 2016 and beyond” said Malcolm Pearson, Reason Global’s Business Development Executive.

Sarah Coxhill, Sussex Fundraiser at MacMillan said: “Reason Global has made great strides for us to raise awareness about this service and other national services resulting not only much needed further funds but also to bring about heightened awareness of services available to those affected by cancer and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
